At The Meadows Primary School, we intend for all children to develop positive attitudes towards other languages and cultures. This interest should be encouraged by delivering weekly stimulating lessons which build children’s confidence and promote the skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing.

It is our intention to ensure that by the end of our children’s primary education, they have acquired a good understanding of speaking and listening, reading and writing in the target language, as well as understanding how important other languages can be in their future.

Children will also be given the opportunity to learn about French culture and to take part in themed events, such as food tasting.
