Meet the Mental Health and wellbeing Team

Say hello to our Mental Health and Wellbeing Team:

Meet the Team

I am Mrs Blair, Senior Mental Health Lead. I completed SEMH Lead Training with Leeds Beckett University in 2022. Everyone has mental health, but it is important that we teach our children how to maintain good mental health.

We work closely with the Mental Health Support Team and utilitise Educational Mental Health Practitioners (EMHP) to support our children in the early stages, if mental health difficulties arise.

I am Mr Kings and my specific work around promoting equality and celebrating diversity at the Meadows involves organising a whole school approach to teaching children how to respect and understand each other. This  starts from Reception and continues until they leave the school. I am proud to have introduced the Everyone Welcome, Everyone Equal programme to school. This scheme of work allows children to learn about equality through storybooks that celebrate difference and prepares them for modern life in Britain.

I am Mrs Jeffers and I am the Mental Health Lead and Mental Health Champion for children at The  Meadows. I work alongside Mr Kings. As Senior Mentors for the school, it is our job to ensure that all children feel safe and happy. We use a range of skills and experience to help children, who may be going through a difficult time and we are there to offer support when it’s needed. We also co-ordinate lunchtime and work hard to ensure that we provide a safe and happy play experience for the children. As a DSL, my role is to ensure that children are safe and well in both their school and home environment. We deal with specific concerns, that may affect a child's well-being and work to support families to ensure the best possible solutions.
